Conditions of Successful Prayer:

 

1. Contrition (repentance; preparing your heart)

   

"Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed…"  James 5:16a

 

"if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."  2 Chronicles 7:14 

• Called by my name

• humble yourself

• turn from wicked ways

• THEN WILL GOD… (the big THEN)

• Herein lies a formula for successful prayer.

 

2. Whole-heartedness

 

"And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13

 

3. Faith

 

"Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Mark 11:24 

 

4. Righteousness

 

"Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."  James 5:16

 

5. Obedience

 

"And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight."  1 John 3:22
